Message from our President - Tim's Tattles .
Jo Impy arranged for Bryce Allman to speak to us . Bryce had become a quadraplegic when he was 19 YOA.
In 1997 as a result of a swimming accident he became a quadraplegic and he told us his story and what an inspirational story it was . He now owns a business
making 70 special carbon fibre wheelchairs a year and is looking for an international company to buy his business. Thanks Jo and well done Bryce
Next Wednesday is our final meeting for the year and if you are all good Santa might come . It would be terrific if you could bring your partners with you .
Our final shindig for the year is at Sandy Yacht Club at 15/12/24 at 6 PM but drinks from 5 PM when you can take views over the bay .
I spoke to Colin Byron after his presentation to us . He commented to me what a vibrant club we have and how we punch a far bit over our weight.
I was speaking to my daughter who is the heart lung transplant coordinator at the Alfred Hospital and she told me they have just completed their
1000 th operation. What a fantastic time we live in despite all the criticisms.
Yours in Rotary ‘The Magic of Rotary’
President Tim Lynch

Members are encouraged to read the latest edition of Rotary Down Under this month as pretty much the entire edition is dedicated to The Rotary Foundation.
Some years ago Rotary International declared their strong and commendable stance on Diversity Equity and Inclusion and expects all members to be familiar with this code of conduct and abide by it.
To quote:
Rotary core values: fellowship, integrity, diversity, service, and leadership This code of conduct reflects our core values and explains the responsibility that comes with being a Rotarian and Rotaractor, which includes members from nearly every country in the world, speaking over 100 different languages. We are committed to upholding and evolving this code as our organization grows. Like our core values, we expect Rotarians and Rotaractors to exemplify this code of conduct as they interact with one another, Rotary program participants, Alumni, project partners, and members of the community. Specifically, the code of conduct applies at all club, district, zone, and Rotary International meetings, trainings, events, and anywhere else a member represents Rotary and on My Rotary and social media. Expectations All club members and other participants including Rotary program participants, Alumni, project partners, and representatives of Rotary are expected to comply with this code of conduct, be considerate and contribute to a collaborative, positive, and healthy environment in which all are respected and valued.

A point regarding the submission of images for the Bulletin and Website: Members are reminded that images have to meet a minimum size requirement, as has been specified for some time in the section at the bottom of this Bulletin. 820 pixels is the minimum size required with larger being better as this allows for cropping. The submission of images via MMS is NOT preferred as they are too small and of inferior quality. Email or Whatsapp is far superior.
Would any member like to take responsibility for the updating of the Club's Event Calendar? I have created a page of instructions here so it is very easy to take over.
Thank you, Ian Ballantine
I remind members that you are responsible for the information contained in the Club's database. This includes, birthdays, phone numbers, addresses etc etc. Even your own photo. You maintain this via this link.
Additionally, member's birthdays and anniversaries will no longer be listed in the Club Bulletin. This is to protect the privacy of members. This information is still available to members here.
Ian Ballantine
A reminder to members to keep checking the calendar of upcoming events for evening and perhaps, one day, daytime events.
Thank you for being a subscriber to our Weekly Club Bulletin. I try to have it published each week by Tuesday morning.
If you would like to have something included please contact me at editor@rotarybmc.org.au and attach, as separate files, the words and any images (jpg files are fine, minimum width 820 pixels). Please DO NOT send information as pdf files.
