Once again our Club has sponsored a rider education day for Year 11 students at Cheltenham Secondary College.A total of 131 students attended the day run by RYDA - website HERE
Stories featuring RYDA can be viewed HERE.
Six club members were required as volunteers for the day which started for us around 9am and finished around 2.30pm. Morning tea and lunch was provided. Our duties were simply ushering around the six groups of students to each of six stations.
So, members who attended were:
Linda O'Brien, Pres Grant Perry, Paul Ferguson, Ron Brownlees, helen Parker and Ian Ballantine. Bert d'Unienville also attended and joined us on "our rounds".
As last time, this was a great day. There is always something we can learn about driving.....and year 11 students!
The team from RYDA really know their stuff and deliver so well. This is a proven program and reaches so many students.
As a member of RC BMC I am so proud that we support this program. We will endevour to have a couple of students join us one morning to tell all our members of their experience.
