From Rotary Exchange to Animal Advocacy
In 1997, Trudi was selected as a Rotary Exchange Student, spending a formative year living in St Catharines, Canada. That experience played a defining role in shaping her worldview, values and sense of personal independence. Trudi will reflect on the lasting impact of that year overseas, and how the lifelong memories continue with her today.
Now an executive communications professional, Trudi is also President of the Board of the Australian Animal Protection Society (AAPS), a not‑for‑profit animal rescue charity based in Keysborough. She will speak about the vital work AAPS does in caring for and rehoming animals in need, and the organisation’s ongoing commitment to giving as many animals as possible a second chance at a safe, loving home.
