In a meeting, participants who wish to address the meeting or ask a question, please use the “Raise Hand” function. Remember to lower it after you have had your turn.
This is by far the best way to attract the attention of the Chairman. The raise hand icon appears in the "Reactions" menu which can be found at the bottom of the screen in Zoom.
This facility is invaluable in large meetings where your screen can be filled with 50 people. It's clear and it's fair.
By displaying the list of participants, all those with "hands" raised appear at the top, in order.
