Dear Rotarians,
RE: Purchasing a horse.
We would like to thank you for the kind donation of $5000.00 to put towards purchasing a new horse and bring you up to date on our progress.
It has been a long journey to find a suitable horse. We started looking in March 2024. Since that time, we have had two horses on trial both of which did not work out. One was too young, and the other one did not pass the vet check. As they were on trial, they were able to be returned.
In March 2025 we finally found a suitable horse. His name is Remi, and he cost $8000.00. We purchased him using your donation of $5000.00 plus $3000.00 from the Commonwealth Golf Club. Remi is 13.3 hh, a Bay Connemara/gypsy cob cross and 10 years old. We are currently easing him into our program.
We had to buy a new saddle at a cost of $1000.00 to fit him and we are wondering if you might consider covering the cost of this.
We are very grateful of your continuing support of our program.
