Our rotary district, 9810, has partnered with UNICEF to collect foreign coins and notes.
We are invested in this Rotary project and through member donations, and foreign coin matter that is retrieved via our Sunday market our club is able to contribute to this very worthwhile Rotary project.

In April 2021 our latest donation was happily given to our district co-ordinator, Mr. Ron Brooks, we provided over 4 kg. of notes and coins.
In these last five years District 9810 has sent off 540kg valued at over $17,000.   We also organised for Star Casino to send coins they'd collected which were valued at $4,705.
The coins and notes are sent off in 60kg batches in 10kg pouches which UNICEF organise through Change Global Exchange who pay for all the transport.
UNICEF works in over 190 countries for the rights and welfare of all children.   It supports children's health needs, clean water and sanitation, quality basic education, and protection from violence, exploitation, and HIV.   It has the same ideals as Rotary.
