
As members may recall, a couple of weeks ago we had reason to call for an ambulance to attend at Cilantro.
I am taking the opportunity now to recommend to members, and whoever else finds this article, to consider installing the Emergency Plus app on their smart device. And, to ensure you place a shortcut on your Home Screen.
Opening the app at a time of emergency will give you immediate access to the appropriate phone numbers and, very importantly, provide accurate location information. Often a simple street address may not be available or useful.
Read on into this article for how to obtain the app and a summary of what it contains.

![]() Most importantly you will be shown your current address (ie your location) in three forms: 1. The actual street address 2. The GPS latitude and longitude. 3. The "what3words" location. All emergency services are able to accept this location system, which has a unique location identifier for every 3m x 3m square on the planet. For more info refer here. Note that it is NOT necessary to install the "what3words" app on your device. |
