As members may recall, a couple of weeks ago we had reason to call for an ambulance to attend at Cilantro.
I am taking the opportunity now to recommend to members, and whoever else finds this article, to consider installing the Emergency Plus app on their smart device. And, to ensure you place a shortcut on your Home Screen.

Opening the app at a time of emergency will give you immediate access to the appropriate phone numbers and, very importantly, provide accurate location information. Often a simple street address may not be available or useful.
Read on into this article for how to obtain the app and a summary of what it contains.
Step 1 - Go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store and search for:

"Emergency Plus"

Download and install - it is completely free of charge.

Once installed I recommend you create a shortcut on your Home Screen.

When you open the app you are presented with buttons to ring Triple zero, SES or Police non emergency.

Most importantly you will be shown your current address (ie your location) in three forms:

1. The actual street address

2. The GPS latitude and longitude.

3. The "what3words" location. All emergency services are able to accept this location system, which has a unique location identifier for every 3m x 3m square on the planet.
For more info refer here.
Note that it is NOT necessary to install the "what3words" app on your device.

On the page entitled "More Information: there is a list of various phone numbers with explanations of their respective services etc.
