Well here we are - President Tim's last meeting presiding as President before the club Changeover on Saturday 28/6. And very fittingly, incoming President Grant Perry chaired today's meeting. Charles joined via Zoom, and Gary Ramage was a guest.CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Guest Speaker gift - Linda was pleased to announce that after many months and false starts, we have finally decided on the gift to present to guest speakers. Linda displayed a cheeseboard that was purchased locally, and laser printed by PDG Ian with the Rotary wheel, our club name and QR code to the club website. The boards will have a cheese knife attached, and presented in a Rotary bag. The boards looked very professional and a very presentable and useful gift. Well done Linda.
President Tim's comments - Tim commented briefly on his term as president adding he will have more to say at the changeover meeting. He commented on the volume of email traffic that comes the President's way, but felt fortunate in that he could pass these onto other people in the club to deal with. He thanked the board for their hard work and helping him to make decisions. Tim was pleased with everyone's input adding that we worked well together as a team, and commended everyone for the good work that has been done - he was grateful for everyone's assistance.
Certificates of Appreciation - Tim had the pleasure of presenting Certificates of Appreciation to club members in recognition of their efforts during the year. The following members received certificates:
Helen Parker, Neville Kruss, Terry Kane, Sue Loeliger, Marg Lucas, Grant Perry, and Cilantro staff member - Maria Botin who always made everyone feel very welcome. Tim acknowledged Tony Fritzlaff adding he is always hospitable and very accommodating in his dealings with everyone - which is very much appreciated. This was warmly acknowledged by everyone present at the meeting.
