Sue Loeliger then presented an overview of The Healy. She indicated that it took 7 years to purchase the properties required for the development and complete construction. The complex has 54 , one, two and three bedroom self contained units. A unit has been set aside for use as a “hotel” unit.
Facilities include an 18 seat cinema, lounge, TV room, library, kitchen and dining facilities for all residents. There is also a courtyard with a BBQ, and a mens shed. The complex also has a gym and wine storage facilities for each unit. Sue then outlined the complexities of the purchase price, service fees, management fees and exit fees, which required individual negotiation. A tour of some apartments was offered to members after the meeting.
