Guests at this morning's meeting were Carolyn and Peter Worth, guests of Jo Impey.
Our guest speakers were Don Smith, owner and director of AMALOCAL and Sandra Cavallo from Matt's Place.

AMALOCAL is a business providing deliveries to homes in the Bayside, and South East of fresh produce including fruit, vegetables, milk, eggs etc sourced from farmers/growers based in the general south east region. Generally, clients provide a weekly order and the produce is delivered to your door. His base of operation is in Tulip Street, Sandringham.
Don was joined this morning by Sandra Cavallo from Bayside Community Care. Sandra told us about the work done at "Matt's Place" and in particular, their Community Meals Program.
Don, and his business of AMALOCAL are a supporter of this program, providing much of the fresh produce required to serve some 200 meals per week.

AMALOCAL can also provide "care packages" to others in the community. These are often provided free by Don and his Company upon some recommendation by a member of the public or can be sponsored by any individual. In other words, you can have Don send a box of produce to someone you think are deserving and you pay for it. What a great gesture this would make to a friend doing it tough. Alternatively, you can leave it to Don to choose someone.
