DESCRIPTION:The Sandringham Rotary Club warmly invites you to an evening at
the Highett RSL on Tuesday\, 9th December 2025. • Dinner (o
ptional): 6:00 PM • Presentation: 7:00 PM “Where do my due
s go? The greater workings of Rotary.” Welcome Bob Richards and Ian Rise
ley\, both distinguished Rotarians with over forty years of service and pa
st District Governors\, who will be presenting on this subject. This prese
ntation was inspired by a question raised during our recent community foru
m and promises to offer valuable insights into Rotary’s broader impact.
Ian served as President of Rotary International in 2017/18 and gave the th
eme of “Rotary\; Making a Difference.” While President\, he authoriz
ed six Presidential conferences with an emphasis on peace\, an important i
ssue for Ian and his wife Juliet\, who was Governor of District 9810 in 20
11/12. He then again served as a Trustee of the Rotary Foundation for 20
19/23. He is proud of his encouragement of Rotary’s work on protecting
the environment\, and also of his promotion of women for participation an
